2016 Events
It was a busy year! Have a look at all the fun we had!
September
Our annual signature fundraiser on September 10th raised nearly $30,000.
This year's event, celebrating Nick's life, included a special anniversary 5 mile race.
Throughout the event, our Kids Zone offers games, activities, free photo booth and balloon figures.
As always, everyone enjoys food, music, silent auction and raffles at the after-party.
Tummy Rumble
August
We were excited to partner with CrossFit Port Byron at its first-ever Rumble on the River weightlifting competition.
Nick Teddy volunteers provided paleo concessions, including pulled pork, fresh fruit, and specialty baked items. Lifters and spectators alike ate it all up!
Oskar Blues Can Cruise
July
This is a leisurely morning cruise through Bettendorf, IA. Bikers of all ages and persuasions enjoy breakfast items at local eateries, and then hop from establishment to establishment.
It ends up with a lunch, raffle, games, and entertainment.
Nick Teddy Nights
June & September
We partnered with our friends at Front Street Brewery to offer adults after-work or evening socials. The September night featured NFL star Pat Angerer.
Wear the Bear Day
September
During Spirit Week at Riverdale Elementary, kids are challenged each day to show up in class sporting a shirt with the animal of the day.
On Wear the Bear day, we make the newly designed Nick Teddy t-shirt available to the kids at a discount.
For 2017, we will be offering recycled t-shirts to kids who can't afford them.
Scratch Cupcake Fundraiser

In September, we partnered with Scratch Cupcakery to bring their super yummy gourmet cupcakes to our supporters.
